Banana Bread

Just a classic banana bread recipe that’s perfect for all seasons! Eat it for breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, and according to some of my friends… dessert. I won’t judge, (well maybe a little) but it is that good!

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 3 medium very ripe bananas (much riper than the photo)
  • 8 tbsp. softened butter

Instructions:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  • Cream together butter and sugar in a medium-large bowl until smooth
  • Mash bananas well as creamy/smooth as possible; add bananas to sugar-butter mixture
  • Add eggs and beat until combined
  • Combine dry ingredients (flour, salt, baking soda) and slowly add to wet mixture.
  • Once combined, pour batter into loaf pan (makes one 9.5 x 5 inch loaf or three 6 x 3.5 mini loaves)
  • Bake for 40 for 50 minutes until toothpick comes out clean in the center
  • Let cool for 5 minutes then remove from pan to finish cooling on a rack; then EAT!

This bread makes the kitchen smell AMAZING and is awesome while its still warm! Love making it on lazy Sundays at home, and it makes a great gift or treat to bring to gatherings. Hope you enjoy!
